CHAPTER 4: REGRETTING OF REJECTING HER

DIMITRI’S POINT OF VIEW

I was surprised when I heard Alpha Trevor ask my mate, Aya Johnson, to be his mate— no she’s no longer my mate. I already rejected her and she accepted my rejection.

‘And it was your fault, Dimitri. Because of you, we lost our mate.” My wolf Damien stated.

I know he was mad at me and I know until now he won’t forgive me for what I’ve done to our mate. We both know that we like our mate but because of my foolishness and selfishness, we lose her. And now seeing her in the arms of the person I hated the most, makes me snatch her and hide her from him. From the rest of the world and even from my father.

But I don’t have any more rights toward her. I already rejected her and she accepted it. And rejecting our mate makes me a failure alpha of my pack.

‘Brother.” Samantha, my beloved sister ran towards me.

I cherished my sister so much that I’m willing to punish whoever makes her cry. But when I saw how she and our mother helped each other to bully Aya, I lost myself at the thought of hurting my mate. How dare they hurt Aya!

‘You hurt her too, don’t you remember? You hurt her many times by bullying her and worst you hurt her by rejecting her! And now you have no right to get mad at your mother and sister. You were the first one who’d hurt her!!!” My wolf yells inside my head. ‘You should protect her. we should! But what you did made it worse. You are the first one who caused her pain.”

I closed my eyes and felt the wrath of Damien inside me. I can feel his urge to kill but I’d tried to control him. I can’t let him out, especially since Samantha and our mother were in front of me.

When Samantha embrace me, I managed to push her away from my body which made our mother yell in surprise,

‘Dimitri!!! Why are you pushing your sister? You’re hurting her!”

‘But she pushed my mate, mother!” I fume.

‘What?”

I can see the shock on their faces.

‘That bitch is your mate? That Aya Johnson?”

I nodded my head as a response.

‘If that bitch is your mate and then how can she sleep with Alpha Trevor?” Samantha raised her brow.

I clenched my teeth at what she stated. I quickly choke her which made our mother scream in terror.

‘No, Dimitri!!!”

From my peripheral version, I saw our mother run toward us.

“She’s your beloved sister! You cannot hurt her. Let her go.”

‘Aya is not like that. I know her and she’s different from the women I bedded. And to tell you frankly, she’s my mate and I love her! But because of you, mother and father, I ignored her for a long time. I bullied her. I even hurt her.”

I saw how shocked they were. After I said those words I immediately left them dumbfounded. When I arrived at my room, I locked the door with force. I sat down on my bed with my head near my knees. I regretted rejecting Aya. And I don’t know how to get her back if that damn Alpha Trevor is in my way.

I was in that state when I heard a loud knock outside my door followed by a strict voice from my father.

“Dimitri! Open this door instantly!”

I let out a sneering smile as I shook my head. I ignored my father and as I lay down on my bed I looked at the ceiling. I can see Aya’s beautiful face as I secretly watch her. She was the most beautiful girl that I ever saw when we were young. And that moment I promised myself that I will marry her.

But as I grew up, my affection towards Aya decreased when my father ordered me to stay away from her and when women flock in front of me and I started to hate Aya for being the pathetic girl she is.

And when my father stated that Aya’s father, the alpha, started to plan a war toward us, that’s how I helped my father just to save our pack.

I trained hard and I forgot about the beautiful Samantha. And when the war began between our pack and Aya’s pack, I heard that my father killed Aya’s father. We won against Aya’s pack and when I saw my father trying to kill the innocent Aya, I ran towards them and begged him not to. I reason that we can use Aya as our slave. At first, my father dont like my idea but when he saw how sincere I was, he agreed. And that’s how Aya started to become our slave.

I know that every time my father was drunk, he went to Aya’s room just to beat her until she lost consciousness. Even if I want to help her, I just can’t. I can’t disobey my father’s word.

I flinched when the door abruptly opened and my angry father went inside and punched me in the face. He stood in front of me and pointed his finger.

‘How dare you, hurting your sister! You were supposed to stand by her side and protect her.”

I tried to stand up and look at my father who was fuming mad.

‘She hurt Aya.”

‘And that’s your reason to hurt your sister? That damn bitch!” He yelled.

‘Don’t call her like that, father!” I shouted back at him. I saw my mother walk faster to my father’s side and hold his arm. ‘That girl is my mate, father.”

‘No! She can’t be. You can choose another mate. Not that traitor’s daughter, Dimitri.”

‘But I love her.”

‘Love? What do you know about love? Love will hurt you. Love will make you a pathetic man in the whole world, a loser.” I saw the pain in my father’s eyes but it was replaced by hatred. ‘And I’m ordering you, Dimitri, as your alpha, if you want to be the alpha of this pack and if you want to save that damn bitch, forget about that damn love. Find someone and not that traitor’s daughter. Reject her, Dimitri.”

‘Father.”

He glanced at me with pathetic eyes before walking to the door. ‘Fix yourself. Today is your coronation day as my replacement. And we need to settle the mess that your mother and sister did. We can’t lose Alpha Trevor just because of that bitch. We all know how strong his pack is. All of his members were warriors and if we can not settle this, we might lose our chance…”

When they’re gone, I let out a sarcastic laugh. My father ordered me to reject Aya and I just did. Now, I regret my decision. and I will forever regret the day I rejected her.
