Summary
Eight years after Karishma and Seth shared a heated kiss at prom, they meet again. Seth wants Karishma but she isn’t interested in a relationship because her last boyfriend cheated on her. Seth and Karishma always seems to bump into each other around town. Seth tries to get Kari to go on a date with him but she always refuse. She eventually settles to be his friend, however the chemistry they share is so intense that they end up having sex.
The next morning, Kari finds out that Seth is the prosecutor on her current case. She breaks off their relationship and swears it will never happen again. Seth is not one to give up easy and so he tries everything to get Kari in his bed again. She eventually gives in, until her uncle/boss noticed the tension in the courtroom, he tells her to end it. Kari was the blacksheep of her family because she chose law instead of medicine. Since he uncle is her role model she did what he ask, she stopped seeing Seth.
After being away from Seth she realized that she loved him so she goes to his home one night and they end up having sex. Seth confesses his love for her but she doesn’t respond. When he fell asleep she left the room to get something to drink but she got distracted by some files on the table. Seth seeings her going through his files and jumps to conclusion and tells her to leave.
Kari is broken because Seth believes that she was only using him to get information on her case. She tries to talks to him but he refused to see her or answer her calls. She realize the only way to make him believe of her innocence is to win the case. She wins the case but he still doesn’t talk to her.
They are brought together by the engagement party of Iris, Kari’s best friend and Brandon, Seth’s cousin. During the celebration Kari isolates herself in a garden to cry because Seth was still ignoring her. Her best friend Iris tries to cheer her up. Seth overhears Kari telling Iris she loves him. Iris spots Seth hiding in the corner and she convinces Kari to tell him about her feelings.
